*Before I get into today’s post, I just want to thank friends and readers for their positive feedback and encouragement. If ever I had doubts about this blog, I certainly cannot now. So, again, thank you so very much.*

Today’s post includes some fun outfit ideas for the 4th of July! Now, I know it’s difficult to be fully patriotic at this moment given the atrocious familial separation of immigrant families, but the public outcry has made me feel better about it. How about John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s call to donate to the ACLU that raised over $1,000,000?! On that high note, let’s get right into it!

Beach Picnic | House Party

I love this denim jacket so much, I actually ordered it! Topshop can always be counted on for a fun, youthful twist on a classic with the star print.

Lulus Roxanna Black Tie-Back Romper

A simple black romper is sleek, yet playful. Can’t go wrong with black. You can dress it up and down. Throw on the denim jacket if the summer night gets a little chilly! The cutouts in the back give it a little more of a retro vibe as well.

H&M Large Hoop Earrings in Silver

A simple, flat espadrille is fabulous, but I’m loving this two-toned denim iteration.

Steve Madden BSHIPPER bag in Natural

In keeping with the retro, 1970s vibe of Americana fashion, this classic birdcage purse elevates the look and keeps in interesting.

Cocktail Party | Rooftop Lounge

Theory Draped Back Slip Top in Fiery Red

While a simple style, the firecracker red shade and fabric sheen makes this top a very sexy pop in any outfit.

I would pair that top with a sleek white jean. I am a huge fan of high waisted and while I try to avoid too much trendiness, I enjoy the light fraying on the ankle hem.

I love this necklace! The stars literally look like fireworks glittering in the sky, but the simplicity of the chain is really elegant.

I’m gagging over these shoes! They are so glamorous and fun!

An oversized clutch with the option for a crossbody chain is always practical and this silver envelope really elevates the look and ties in the jewelry and heels!

Outdoor Concert | Street Festival

Women’s Enjoy Coca-Cola Rolled Sleeve Boyfriend T-Shirt

I love the vintage look of this boyfriend t-shirt and what’s more American than Coca-Cola?

Gap Denim Short Overalls in Light Indigo

I haven’t forayed into overalls since my Osh Kosh B’gosh days, but these just look comfy and fun!

Converse One Star X MadeMe Suede Platform Sneaker in Blue

I’m all for a classic sneaker as a platform. The blue suede gives it more dimension and a funkier take on athleisure. Plus, they’re comfy to walk around in!

A small backpack is a great choice if you’re walking around or on your feet all day. You can carry your wallet, sunnies,

Moon Star Planet Earrings in Yin and Yang Style

This is certainly a spacier take on the stars, but I love the mixture of colors and asymmetry of these earrings. A little funky and rock n’ roll.
